FIELD: wood industry, in particular, equipment for wood chipping, can be applicable in wood-pulp and paper industry, as well as at wood preparatory shops for chopping wood into chips and small-sized wood waste up to fractions for production of brick. SUBSTANCE: the drive shaft and the feed chute are installed vertically. The drive shaft knives are installed in the body between the fixed perforated disk and knives whose blades are directed towards each other. Installed on the drive shaft above the fixed perforated disk is a spring-loaded impeller-agitator with knife blades, whose cutting edge is parallel with the fixed perforated disk; the peripheral lateral faces of the knife blades are toothed, and every second blade has a tooth shifted by a pitch. This provides for chipping of wood with a moisture-content up to 50% due to vertical arrangement of the food chute and additional impeller-agitator installed on the vertical drive shaft with toothed knife blades.
