FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes mechanical action on medium by thermal loads in sign-varying temperature range. In so doing, low temperature action is effected by supply of steam-gas working agent in form of circular hollow jet onto which ultrasonic acoustic vibrations are applied simultaneously in three mutually perpendicular directions. Then, this section of medium is subjected to effect of flow of high-temperature working agent directed to medium in form of slot and circular jets oriented at different angles to medium surface. In this case, applied to said jets are ultrasonic acoustic vibrations in three mutually perpendicular direction with shift by half period of acoustic waves. Built-up above treated section is residual pressure below atmospheric one. Broken medium is removed by periodic action of pulsed flow of working agent.
