FIELD: control of turbulence in boundary layers and in other fields bounded by walls. SUBSTANCE: system of vortex pairs is formed in turbulent field which extends in way of flow with inclined spreading structures interacting with vortex pairs due to introduction of two separate disturbances in this field to form composite disturbance field in local section which is connected with inclined with inclined spreading structures modifying them in such way that interaction of spreading structures with system of vortex pairs is strengthened or weakened, thus intensifying or weakening turbulence in field of flow. One disturbance may occur due to interaction of medium with linear strip or set of strips of delta-shaped projections located across direction of flow and second disturbance may occur due to introduction of acoustic energy in local section. Besides that, use may be made of linear strip or set of strips of projections having aerodynamic profiles for forming vortex pairs of opposite direction for control of turbulence in boundary layer.
