FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: fixing screw is used in detachable joints of locking or fixing devices. Fixing screw has head with tapered surface and slotted recess and rod of cylindrical shape with helical groove. It also includes cylindrical groove, cylindrical projection, cylindrical collar, and tapered chamfer. Cylindrical groove is made along fixing screw axis and positioned coaxially with cylindrical projection restricted by end face and conjugated with cylindrical collar made for outcome of threaded cutter from helical groove being cut by it. Helical groove runs to tapered chamfer base. Screw head has cylindrical profile restricted by end face of cylindrical groove circular profile. Recess is of curvilinear form. Its surface interacts with surface of blind cylindrical hole having tapered bottom in ins base. Circular groove surface is made for placing of polyethylene casing on it. As a result, formation of microcracks in layer at the surface of part in which screw is used is precluded. EFFECT: enhanced convenience of mounting and dismantling. 4 dwg
