FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device may be used for plasma treatment, traditional or slag welding using small-size electrodes. Device has electrode movement detector, which is connected to setting holder head, time setter, comparison unit, which is connected to additional power supply control unit. Goal of invention is achieved by time interval sampling unit, elementary electrode movement measurement unit, clock oscillator, six adders, two squaring units, five multiplication units, three subtraction units, four scaling units, and two dividing units, are inserted between electrode movement detector, time setter and comparison unit. Additional system of units and connections generates noise-proof signal, which reflects empirical regression line for electrode movements, which alter in time and movement direction and correspond to fast random factors, which influence production process.
