FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for controlling operating conditions of electric motors driving main pumps of mainline oil-transfer stations involves grouping of all mainline pump motors according to their power output into elements of progression A = 1 MVA, B = 2 MVF, C = 4 MVA, D = 8 MVA, E = 16 MVA, ..., M - 2n MVA, where n = 1, 2, 3 ... k, only two elements A and B of 1 and 2 MVA power output being frequency-controlled by means of frequency converters; evaluation of desired specified power output for oil flow (pressure) specified according to oil-transfer station technology in mainline that includes groups of pump motors whose total power output complies with preset power for mainline oil flow (pressure) specified according to oil-transfer station technology.
EFFECT: enhanced precision and reliability of controlling pump motor operating conditions, reduced cost for equipment installation and power requirement for oil-transfer station process.
