FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying phototherapy as ultraviolet irradiation and plasmapheresis. Concentration of antibodies to the basic myelin protein is to be additionally determined before starting treatment. Concentration of antibodies to the basic myelin protein being found higher than 800 mcg/m, it is advised 500-800 ml of venous blood is to be taken. The value being equal to 500-800 mcg/l, the quantity of venous blood is to be 250-450 ml. The remaining lymphocyte suspension in plasma in performing plasmapheresis after separating and reinfusing erythrocyte mass is to be repeatedly separated. The so obtained lymphocyte mass is to be exposed to ultraviolet radiation action at 350-420 nm wavelength in performing reinfusion. The treatment course is 1-3 procedure long. The procedures are administered each second day with total dose equal to 18-54 J/cm². Concentration of antibodies to the basic myelin protein being found less than 500 mcg/l, 250-500 ml of venous blood is to be taken and the remaining lymphocyte suspension in plasma is to be exposed to ultraviolet radiation action in the same mode after reinfusing erythrocyte mass, and reinfusion is carried out.
