FIELD: isomerization catalysts. SUBSTANCE: liquid hydrocarbons enriched with iso- and cycloparaffins and containing no more than 30% of aromatic hydrocarbons are obtained from dimethyl ether using catalyst based on (i) 65-70% of pentasil-type crystalline aluminosilicate with silica-to-alumina ratio (25-100):1 and containing 0.05-0.1% sodium oxide and (ii) binding component additionally contains 0.5-3.0% zinc oxide and 0.1-5.0% rare-earth metal oxides. Catalyst is activated in air at 540-560 C. Process is carried out at 250-400 C, pressure 0.1-10 MPa, and raw material flow rate 250 to 1100 h-1. EFFECT: increased catalytic activity. 3 cl, 2 tbl, 18 ex
