FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: petroleum refinery emission gases are processed to produce aromatic concentrate in order to increase anti-knock characteristics of low-octane straight-run or gas-condensate gasolines. Suitable catalyst contains: (i) 20 to 90% high- silica zeolite of the Pentasil group with silica-to-alumina molar ratio 20 to 150 and residual content of sodium oxide no higher than 0.4%; (ii) 0.1 to 6.0% zinc oxide and/or 0.1 to 3.0% gallium; (iii) 0.1 to 5.0% of the mixture of two or more rare-earth element (Ce, La, Nd, and/or Pr) oxides; and (iv) binding component (gamma-alumina, crystalline silicon oxide, synthetic aluminosilicate, clay, zirconium dioxide, and others), and also (additionally) oxides of two or three elements selected from group including iron(III), magnesium, and calcium taken in any proportions among them provided that content of each oxide varies from 0.01 to 2.0% and total concentration of indicated oxides does not exceed 4.0%. Such makeup of catalyst ensures increase of yield of liquid hydrocarbons with 5 or more carbon atoms when conversion of aliphatic C2-C12-hydrocarbons is conducted at 250 to 650 C, pressure 0.1 to 4.0 MPa, and volume flow rate 0.1 to 10 h-1.
