FIELD: chemical industry; production of calcium oxide used as filler for rubber and in construction engineering, metallurgy, water supply systems and other industries. SUBSTANCE: method consists in preliminary suspending of waste of production of calcium hydroxide at stage of its separation at the following content of components, mass-%: CaO, 40 to 50; CaCO3, 20 to 30; Cl, 3.0 to 5.50; MgO, 2.50 to 2.95; microadmixtures of Al2O3 and Fe2O3 and water, remainder; suspending is performed under normal conditions; suspension thus prepared is delivered to drum-type vacuum filter for filtration; then, filtered milk of lime is fed to drying drum for calcination at temperature of 900 to 100 C at rarefaction of 1.0 to 1.5 mm Hg, after which target calcium oxide is separated. EFFECT: low cost of product; extended raw material base for production of calcium oxide and enhanced whiteness. 1 dwg
