FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes mixing ore with iron chloride hexahydrate FeCl3·6H2O, fine grinding, leaching the mixture with hot water and separating the solution from iron, manganese and aluminium oxide and silicon dioxide residues. Chloride ions are washed out of the residue, followed by drying, agglomeration and packing part of the residue in the form of a manganese oxide concentrate for use in ferrous metallurgy. The solution is evaporated, followed by crystallisation of chlorides and packing the crystals, which are a product for use in construction. Further, the method includes mixing the manganese oxide concentrate with iron sulphate, attrition of the mixture, agglomeration, calcining at 600°C, treating with water, filtering, washing and drying the iron oxide concentrate residue. Manganese and iron carbonates are precipitated from the solution, followed by filtration and separation of sodium sulphate solution from the residue. Sodium ions are then washed from the manganese and iron carbonates, followed by drying and attrition of the finished product - manganese concentrate. The sodium sulphate solution is crystallised and dried, followed by attrition of Na2SO4 crystals, which are a product used in construction.
