FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: guiding chain is used for laying of hoses, cables, etc. Chain for laying of hoses and cables between two connection points has links with two side members coupled to each other by at least one transverse jumper. Side members of chain may consist either of internal and external shackles positioned alternately relative to one another or of two bent side members. Shackles have overlapping areas facing inside chain and protruding outside it by means of which they are hinge-connected to one another for turning within one plane. At least one of adjacent side members is provided with guide recess 7 passing in parallel with plane of turning. Side member adjacent to it enters one of guide recesses with at least one guiding part passing in parallel with plane of turning through entire angle of turn.
