FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: resonant vibrator has hard case, repetitive force source for exciting vibrations, such as electromagnet, inertia mass, and mechanical springs, as well as additional electromagnet built up of two coaxial magnetic cores. One of magnetic cores is rigidly fixed to case and other one, to inertia mass. Slots provided in mid-length of mating cylindrical surfaces of magnetic cores form two extreme poles whose width is greater than maximal relative displacement of magnetic cores when vibrator is operating. One of slots accommodates field winding connected to adjustable dc voltage supply. Relative displacement of additional electromagnet cores builds up opposing force which can be regulated by varying field current. Additional electromagnet functions as adjustable-stiffness magnetic spring. Additional electromagnet poles may be tooth-shaped with tooth width greater than relative-displacement amplitude of magnetic cores and greater than vibration amplitude of one magnetic core relative to other. Additional-electromagnet dc field winding is connected to adjustable dc voltage supply through reactor.
