FIELD: metallurgy, namely melt metal casting. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes vessel for melt metal into which disc chamber with central and lateral openings is immersed. Between said openings disc chamber is embraced by -shaped magnetic circuit. Lateral opening is joined with metal duct which is used for applying electric current to disc chamber. Immersible electrode serves as other pole for electric current supply. Alternating or direct electric current passing between poles of -shaped magnetic circuit in disc chamber creates magnetic field between poles. Lorenz force occurring in the result of interaction of magnetic field and electric current causes rotation of metal. Centrifugal effort causes pressure drop between central and lateral openings, and metal is poured. Such casting procedure does not need additional source of magnetic field. EFFECT: reduced energy consumption, simplified design, enhanced efficiency of apparatus. 2 dwg
