FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing basic cultivation of abandoned and structureless soils; sowing simultaneously two phytoameliorating crops: annual halophyte-amaranth and perennial halophyte - wild licorice of preferably floodplain ecotype, with row-width spacings of 0.6-0.7 m; on the second year of growing period in spring, providing additional sowing of amaranth in direction perpendicular to licorice sowing direction; repeating operation on the third year of licorice plant life; on the third year, harvesting vegetative mass of licorice and amaranth as mass adapted for silage, and of licorice during the following years. Method allows plantations of licorice as phytoameliorating crop to be created at first stage and as licorice raw material at final stage. Aboveground buds produced between first stage and final stage of development of plant are used as valuable feed. EFFECT: increased efficiency by restoring fertility of structureless soils, reduced level of ground water and decreased mineralization extent.
