FIELD: agriculture and agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing soil; planting. Planting is performed while apparatus is continuously advancing along field and furrows are cut to 0.15-0.27 m depth with spacing between them 0.7 m. Cuttings of roots and rootstocks of local ecotype of licorice, 3-5 year age, with length of 0.20-0.25 m and number of dormant (axillary) buds of at least five are placed on bottom of furrows, 2-3 cuttings per 1 m. Method further involves covering furrows with layer of plastic material; compacting soil surface at pressure of 0.15-0.20 MPa. Apparatus for preparing soil for planting of cuttings has frame, suspender with suspension fingers, carrier wheel with screw mechanism, bodies with plow-bottom surfaces, skim colters, disk cutters and cutting guides positioned on frame between succession of pairs of bodies. Each pair of bodies has disk cutter arranged in front of terminating skim colter in pair of bodies. Device for feeding root and rootstock cuttings into furrows has pull-type vessel, block of beaters, left-hand and right-hand transverse conveyors, longitudinal conveyor, telescopic cardan shaft, drives for conveyors and rotors, front and rear axles with pneumatic wheels, braking device and electric equipment. Apparatus is provided with front and rear two-section auxiliary conveyors. Front conveyor is kinematically connected to right-hand conveyor, rear conveyor is kinematically connected to left-hand conveyor. Auxiliary conveyors are provided with mechanisms for moving them to operating or transport position. One section of two-section conveyor is positioned under frame, at an angle to its longitudinal axis. EFFECT: increased efficiency in restoring meadows and hay fields, increased fertility of irrigated lands. 4 cl, 12 dwg
