FIELD: methods and devices for processing variable-parameter coded signals. SUBSTANCE: video and audio data are entered in disk in the form of blocks of many packs. If video data pack has in its beginning 1 pattern, input pack containing positions of three preceding and three next packs is placed directly in front of video pack. Position of pattern depends on input pack data. Variable-parameter coded signal is divided into sectors each starting with sector heading; multiplexing facility functions to multiplex kind-of-signal marker and variable-parameter coded signal by entering sub-code in sector containing determined part of signal. Variable-parameter coded signal is generated by multiplexing digital input signal at variable multiplexing ratio.
