FIELD: agricultural chemistry. SUBSTANCE: potassium hydroxide is applied onto young developing plant organs (consuming nutrients) in concentrations 0.02 to 2.0%. The substance affects pH gradient of cytosol of components of donor-acceptor system of plants, which is endogenous factor of transport of plastic substances. The substance is also a simple chemical compound stimulating plant growth and not polluting environment. On certain plants, treatment with potassium hydroxide is particularly efficient is leaves in their aging period are additionally treated with acetic acid in concentrations 0.02 to 2.0%. EFFECT: increased choice of plant growth control agents. 1 tbl
