FIELD: equipment of wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: the curvilinear aerostatic guide of the band-sawing machine has a hollow body, working surface, air inflating holes and distribution grooves. The diameter of each inflating hole, whose axis is positioned at angle α to the vertical axis of guide symmetry, is determined by formula d = dcp4/πcosα, where dm - permanent diameter of inflating holes, at which average pressure dcp = N/BR is ensured at an adopted quantity of inflating holes, where N-saw tension force, H, B-width of the curvilinear guide, mm, R-radius of curvilinear guide, mm. Use of the guide reduces the air flow for normal functioning of the machine by 3.5 times as compared with machines of the existing designs. EFFECT: reduced air flow. 1 dwg
