Band saw cutting unit for sawing wood includes a band saw put on a drive belt, which envelopes cylindrical surfaces of fixed and movable in vertical direction for tensioning the saw curvilinear aerostatic guides and pulley of belt drive electric motor located between curvilinear guides at distance from sawing zone, which exceeds maximum width of sawn material. Hollow reservoirs are fixed on curvilinear guides to receive compressed air and supply it through blowing holes under drive belt enveloping curvilinear surfaces made at the ends of these reservoirs.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of sawing wood.
