FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: α- including superhigh molecular, and ethylene-alpha olefin (e.g. hexene-1, octene-1, 4- methyl-pentene-1) copolymers with various melt flow indexes are prepared in suspension mode at temperatures from 30 to 100 C, pressures from 0.1 to 1.5 Mpa when acted upon by metallocene catalyst of general formula: PAVP wherein M is Cr, Ti, Fe, Mo, W, Ni, Co, Mn, Re, Rh, Ir, Os; n is 8 and alkylalumoxane (AAO) at AAO/M molar ratios from 20 to 500. Hydrocarbon solvent include gasoline, n- hexene, n-heptane, toluene, or the like. Catalyst system makes it possible to prepare polyethylene and copolymers thereof with controllable molecular weight, structure, morphology and properties.
