FIXATION-RECLINATION CORSET Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: corset has rod with external thread extending through the whole length of rod, brackets loosely mounted on bars, and nuts. Nuts are screwed to create gradual painless reclination force due to flexure of plate secured to bracket and inflation of pneumatic pads with air. Fixation-reclination corset is manufactured from thermoplastic material. Corset is used for gradual dosed reclination with following fixation of simple compression fractures of dorsal and lumbar vertebrae bodies. Such construction provides reduced supporting surface area to which reclination force is applied and comfortable conditions for patients.
