FIELD: sport equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing additional external loading which simulates water medium draft by means of program-controlled device; setting initial parameters of external added loads by force, frequency, amplitude and time-induced variations of these parameters by preliminarily calculated sportsman motion algorithm for record-breaking rates on real distance. During exercising, energy consumed by sportsman and applied by external added loads is taken into account separately. Parameters of external loads are corrected so that they are in adequacy to sportsman physical state. Program-controlled device is connected to ac electric engine. Parameters of electric engine are controlled for applying additional external loads. Electric engine is mounted on shaft of drum of external force applying unit. Handle and flexible tie-rod are mounted on movable bar which is passed through pipe for longitudinal displacement and rotation. Pipe is mounted on external force applying unit.
