EXERCISER FOR CANOE SPORTSMEN Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: sportive equipment. SUBSTANCE: exerciser has carcass with elliptical guides and disks axially aligned with guides, oar pivotally connected with carrier carts resting against inner surface of elliptical guides, loading mechanism and seat. Disks are located on the outside of guides in planes extending parallel to guides and equipped with sleeves rigidly attached to disk pins. Sleeves have radial through openings inclined with respect to disk planes. Spring-loaded bars passed through radial openings are equipped with carrier carts pivotally mounted on one end thereof. Loading mechanism is formed as electric drive with shaft having friction rollers, which are in contact with disk outer surface. Cams are mounted on disks for engagement with end switches located on carcass. Drive is mounted for operation as generator or electric engine. Exerciser may be used for primary training, training and retraining of canoe sportsmen. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency. 4 cl, 3 dwg
