DRY LIVE VACCINE AGAINST NEWCASTLE DISEASE AND METHOD OF ITS PREPARING Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary science, virology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of biopreparations used for oral immunization against Newcastle disease in poultry. Vaccine has the dried extraembryonal fluid of culture of one of the strain of Newcastle disease virus "La-Sota", "A(b) BH", "Clone- -30", "Bor-74 VGNKI" or "V-4" at titer values 2.0 x 10⁸-1,0×10¹⁰EID₅₀ ml^-1, casein, stabilizing agent, dehydrating agent and desegregating agent. Casein provides stability of virus and protects vaccine from digestive effect of stomach juice. Among stabilizing agent vaccine has protein-carbohydrate complex (sucrose, lactose or glucose and enzymatic peptone) taken in the effective concentrations. Ion-exchange resin KB-4P-2 (size particle is from 100 to 800 mcm) used as dehydrating agent and modified aerosil is used as desegregating agent. Dry live vaccine is prepared by contact dehydration method. Hydrophobic aerosil taken in the amount from 1.0 to 2.0% by mass is applied on ion-exchange resin KB-4P-2 (size particle is 100-800 mcm) preliminarily. Under conditions of maintenance of components composition and developed regimes of preparing dry live vaccine is prepared. This vaccine protects immunized poultry from infection with the virulent strain "T-53" of Newcastle disease virus in the dose 1000 LD₅₀ by from 80 to 100% at oral route of immunization.
