Abstract RU 2162369 C2

FIELD: separation of materials. SUBSTANCE: invention specifically refers to separation of magnesium or aluminum from compact solid block of waste carrying magnesium or aluminum. Compact solid block is subjected to action of one jet of liquid as minimum under pressure of not less than 400 bars to separate metal from slag by breaking lumps off and to cool matter with water to reduce loss of metal caused by oxidation. In this case nozzle or nozzles and block move relative one another. Nozzle can be positioned above, beneath and at level of side of compact solid block. After initial crushing of block with use of jets of liquid material, if it is cleared not enough, is subjected to further working in crushing and screening installations or to further working by jets of liquid under pressure in drum separators and/or by water in rinsing drums. Nozzle or nozzles and solid block move relative each other by rotation of solid block around vertical axis while nozzle or nozzles reciprocate. Nozzle or nozzles are located in rinsing head that directs jet of liquid on to uncrushed parts of block under manual, programmed or automatic mode.
