FIELD: structural engineering. SUBSTANCE: method refers to evaluation of intensity of seismic vibrations with allowance for properties of soils composing construction site. Seismic vibrations are excited in soil with the aid of artificial source, they are recorded by geophones located on sections with different engineering and geological conditions. Peak accelerations and lengths of vibrations are measured, vibration spectra are constructed, weighted average frequency of vibrations of examined and standard soils are found and increment of magnitude is determined. EFFECT: increased reliability of evaluation and reduced cost of it. 2 tbl
