SUBSTANCE: system includes series of diaphragms mounted in diaphragm units located inside passage, outlet pipe line connecting diaphragm units, permeate passage also connecting diaphragm units, first pump connected with chamber by liquid line and used for transportation of at least of cleaned liquid to outlet. Reversible osmosis apparatus for filtration of feed liquid includes passage for liquid kept under various pressures, series of diaphragms arranged in diaphragm units, first passage for transportation of feed liquid, second passage connecting the diaphragm units and carrying the permeate and third passage connecting the diaphragm units and carrying the liquid flowing past diaphragm. Method of cleaning the feed liquid includes pumping part of this liquid to passage, arrangement of series of diaphragms in diaphragm units and placing these units in passage in various positions at which pressure differential is available, flowing of liquid from passage around outer surface of diaphragm, transfer of cleaned agent to respective pipe line connecting the modules, transfer of flushing liquid to pipe line connecting the diaphragm units.
