FIELD: polymer materials. SUBSTANCE: invention provides aqueous dispersion based on silicone compounds and organic polymer(s) possessing cross-linking ability upon drying under ambient conditions to form elastomer with controlled transparency and improved mechanical characteristics is distinguished by containing no strengthening mineral fillers and containing following components: (A) oil- in-water emulsion containing 100 wt parts of or α,ω- (dihydroxy)polydiorganosiloxane polymer A1 and 1 to 100 wt parts of organosilicon cross-linking agent A2 stabilized by at least one surfactant A3 selected from anionic and nonionic surfactants or their mixtures, emulsion being composed of particles 0.1 to 100 mcm in size and containing at least 60 wt.% solid material; (B) 1 to 100 wt parts of aqueous dispersion of at least one organic (co)polymer 0.01 to 10 mcm in particle size containing 10 to 70 wt.% solid material; and, if necessary, (C) 0.01 to 5 wt parts of a metal compound serving as solidification catalyst. Aqueous dispersion is prepared by adding first dispersion A and then catalyst C to emulsion A. EFFECT: achieved controlled transparency and improved mechanical characteristics. 18 cl, 2 tbl, 7 ex
