MIXTURE OF HIGHER PRIMARY ALIPHATIC ALCOHOLS, METHOD OF PREPARING THEREOF, AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION BASED THEREON Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: described is new mixture of higher primary aliphatic C₂₄-C₃₄, alcohols. Mixture comprises, wt %: 1-tetracosanol, 0.5-1.0; 1-hexacosanol, 5.5-8.5; 1- heptacosanol, 2.0-3.5; 1-octacosanol, 60.0-70.0; nonacosanol, 0.4-1.2; 1- triacontanol, 10.0-15.0; dotriacontanol, 4.0-6.0; 1-tetratriacontanol 0.4-2.0. Mixture is useful for treatment of hypercholesterolemia and aterosceloris complications such as higher power of thrombocites to aggregation, ischemia and thrombosis. Mixture also prevents drug-induced stomach ulcer and improves sexual activity of males. This is manifestation of new properties of mixture. Also described are method of preparing mixture and pharmaceutical compositions based thereon. EFFECT: improved properties of the mixture.
