FIELD: mining; applicable in underground extraction of outburst-prone salt rocks composed of hygroscopic water-soluble minerals. SUBSTANCE: method includes provision of conditions for dynamic natural coating of freshly formed surfaces of fractures in salt mass enclosing driven working and having aerodynamic communication with working space with film of saturated salt solution. Salt rocks are extracted simultaneously with treatment with solvent of salt mass enclosing working, freshly formed fracture surfaces, partings of rock mass formed in process of extractions. Solvent is used in the form of water steam supplied to driven working together with ventilating air in amount ensuring coating with film of saturated salt solution of freshly formed surfaces, salt surfaces of rock mass partings, and surfaces of fractures having aerodynamic communication with space of driven working.
