POWER REFRIGERATING PLANT WITH LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2163706 C1

FIELD: power engineering; gas regenerative machines; generation of mechanical or electrical power and cold. SUBSTANCE: liquefied natural gas is fed to refrigerating chamber from reservoir by means of pump through throttle valve. In cooling the space of chamber, liquefied gas is evaporated and gets heated at increase of pressure entering the vortex tube where gas is divided into two flows: cold flow and hot flow. Cold flow main runs through heat exchanger. Hot flow main runs through heater and turbine where additional power may be obtained due expansion of gas. Exhaust gases from Stirling engine pass through heater. Cooling the Stirling engines is performed by means of cooling system provided with cooler where heat exchange with surrounding medium, pump and heat exchanger takes place. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of direct cycle converter; possibility of generating additional energy. 1 dwg
