FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: when carrying out closed subtotal vitrectomy, operation is accompanied by continuous irrigation with physiological solution saturated with ozone. Concentration of ozone is chosen in dependence on the nature of microflora within the range 3.8 to 4.2 mcg/l. Volume of solution is large enough to suppress microflora. EFFECT: increased efficiency of sanation of eye cavity with different forms of endophthalmites. 2 ex
