FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly mills for rolling wire, bars and billets. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of rolling V-shaped notches at both sides of bridge joining blanks. Said notches suppress distribution of shear plastic deformation along width of bridge tensioned in separating roll grooved pass. It provides respectively lowered burr size in zone of bridge rupture. Rolling mill for performing the method includes rolling stand with double-groove separation pass, rolling stand with double-groove shaping pass, exit guide behind shaping roll grooved pass. Exit guide includes two non-driven discs with V-shaped rolling portion. Discs are mounted behind gaps at coinciding rolling edges of both discs with vertical symmetry plane of guide gaps. Spacing between rolling edges of discs is equal to 0.4-0.8 of thickness of bridge joining blanks; said spacing is symmetrical relative to horizontal symmetry plane of guide gap. EFFECT: enhanced quality of ready shapes made by double-strand rolling with separation due to reduced size of burrs in zone of blank separation, high strength of rolling rolls. 2 cl, 9 dwg
