FIELD: ironmongery. SUBSTANCE: lock for garage and safe has frame, cross-bar plate mounted in it for horizontal translation, mechanism for movement of vertical tie-rods coming in the form of plates arranged in parallel, hinged to cross-bar plate which are placed in vertical grooves and grooves arranged at angle to them. Vertical tie-rods are mounted for plane-parallel movement, are coupled one to another and to cross-bar with aid of pin that is located in last plate interacting with grooves. Lid with groove designed for movement of above-mentioned pin is placed in frame of lock in parallel to movement of cross-bar plate. Lid additionally carries two pins interacting with vertical grooves of plates and two code inserts positioned on both sides of cross-bar plate, coupled to locating arms mounted for vertical movement and interacting with butt part of cross-bar plate in position "closed". Guide mounted for rotation in position "open" around axis perpendicular to direction of movement of cross-bar plate is installed between lid and frame.
