FIELD: tests of solid-propellant rocket engines. SUBSTANCE: invention can be recommended for measurement of linear dimensions of exhaust gas jets and heated bodies. Scanner has scanning system 1, optical system 2, beam splitter 3, radiation detector 4, monochromatic light filter 5, radiation detector 6, monochromatic light filter 7, meter 8 measuring signal ratios, matching unit 9, divider 10 and registering device 11. Radiation detectors 4 and 6 form signals proportional to spectral radiation flux with effective wave lengths λ1 and λ2 correspondingly. Voltage registered by device 11 does not depend on temperature and is function of spectral radiation coefficient ε1. EFFECT: increased precision of measurement of linear dimensions of exhaust gas jets with temperature varying along measured section. 1 dwg
