FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: laser Doppler velocity sensor splits radiation into three channels using Wollaston prisms. Photoreceivers are installed in each channel. They register the Doppler shift that provides the measurement of the three projections of the velocity vector.
EFFECT: due to simultaneous measurement of the three projections of the velocity vector with the minimum number of laser beams, forming the probing field, and the use of only one acousto-optic modulator provides an increase in the accuracy of the velocity measurement.
