BELT FOR ROD-TYPE ELEVATOR Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: belt is formed of detachable omega-shaped rods with ends bent to outside and rigidly fixed in receptacles formed on internal cheeks of parallel drawing sprocket chains links. Rods are secured in alternation with their bent ends oriented in opposite directions at angular shift of 180 deg and provided with members for retaining them in predetermined position. Rod ends are made in the form of pull chain link fingers. Rod is provided with circular member positioned in its central part and adapted for restricting axial displacement of retaining members along rod. Openings of outer cheeks of pull chains are shaped to conform with sectional profile of ends of rods adapted for insertion into openings in cheeks. Rods are arranged in isolated groups, three rods on two pairs of links in each of two parallel pull chains. Bent ends of two outer rods are oriented in opposite directions in each group relative to direction of middle bent end, which is directed upward on working run of elevator. Isolated groups of three rods provided with retaining members are interconnected by one, two or several links in each of two parallel pull chains so as to define pockets of different sizes for receiving separated roots and for conveyance of single articles in vertical position.
