FIELD: road- building facilities. SUBSTANCE: compactor has tamping plate coupled by rubber shock absorbers with plate installed above and carrying drive motor and control handle attachment brackets for compactor operator. Vibratory mechanism is mounted on tamping plate. At least four rubber shock absorbers are installed at each side of plate at angle to working surface of tamping plate in direction square to direction of movement of tamping plate and motor mounting plate installed above. Each rubber shock absorber rigidly coupled with tamping plate is made for preliminary loading by bolt passed through hole in plate arranged above tamping plate and turned into shock absorber. At such mounting of shock absorbers, they are exposed to shifting stresses. Screw hole in each rubber shock absorber is made through which provides changes in action of disturbing force from tamping plate on motor mounting plate and operator's handles within wide range.
