FIELD: construction engineering; water intake wells for special man-caused and natural seismic conditions. SUBSTANCE: water well has casing, filter, and water-lifting strings of pipes, filter-string sludge pan, and immersible pump; in addition it has surface casing string and intermediate casing string, shock absorber assembled of concentrically mounted casing strings and intermediate casing strings with throttling members radially arranged over their perimeter where pipe-to-pipe spaces are filled with damping liquid. Flexible pipe is installed between filter and water-lifting strings. Annular plugs are mounted at upper and lower elevations of filter string effective surface so that bottom end of intermediate string is joined with casing and filter strings and bottom end of casing string is connected to filter string; section of casing string top and bottom annular plugs is perforated and annular space is filled with granulated filter material. Throttling members are installed throughout entire height of intermediate pipe and sludge pan of filter string is provided with centering guide made in the form of truncated cone.
