FIELD: concentration of minerals at mining alluvial sands of gravel deposits of gold and other useful minerals; preliminary concentration of alluvial sands of narrow size category (3 to 5 mm) containing useful components of high density and ferromagnetic minerals. SUBSTANCE: method consists in subjecting the flow of hydraulic mixture to action of permanent magnetic field through layer of non-magnetic material of sluice box bottom; intensity of magnetic field is set at smooth increase in way of hydraulic mixture flow. Permanent magnets are located along length of sluice box in staggered order at clearances between magnets in row and between rows depending on velocity of flown of hydraulic mixture and content of ferromagnetic minerals. Permanent magnets are secured in container which is articulated to bottom of sluice box. Secured to end face of sluice box is vibrator generating adjustable oscillations of entire magnetohydrodynamic system. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
