FIELD: materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: hydromechanical grab has carrying housing, turnable grab bucket scoops hinge-coupled with turnable housing, mechanism to provide turning of grab around vertical axis, scoops closing and opening mechanism and mechanisms engagement clutch. Grab is provided with reversing hydraulic motor, scoops closing and opening mechanism is made in form of worm pair. Scoops are rigidly secured on axles of worm wheels. Worm is arranged coaxially with hydraulic motor shaft for engagement with shaft by means of two jaw clutch members forming above-indicated clutch. One of clutch members is installed on splined part of hydraulic motor Shaft, and the other, on splined part of worm shaft. Above-indicated worm pair and clutch members are installed in turnable housing whose upper cylindrical part is provided with gear rim from inner side for engagement with planet pinions installed in carrier. Upper external surface of turnable housing and external surface of carrier form brake drums of band brakes. Clutch member engagement pressure lug and hydraulic release are mounted on carrying housing. EFFECT: increased speed of loading and unloading of long-cut loads. 4 dwg
