FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines with controlled compression ratio in engine cylinder resulted from varying compression chamber volume between piston in TDC and cylinder head. Proposed engine comprises housing (1) accommodating crankshaft (4). Crankshaft con rod journal (5) supports crossarm (6) coupled by con rod with piston (2) and, by tie rod (6), with journal of control shaft (10). The latter incorporates drive that comprises worm gear, planetary train, overrunning coupling (16) and (18). Said planetary train consists of crown gear (12), pinion frame (11) and sun gear (13). Said crown gear (12) is coupled with housing. Pinion frame (11) is coupled with worm (15). Overrunning coupling (16) couples sun gear (13) with drive shaft (17). Overrunning coupling (18) couples drive shaft (17) with pinion frame (11) via dog (19) arranged in slots (20), nearby locking elements (22) of overrunning coupling (16).
EFFECT: simplified control over shaft drive and drive fast operation.
