BREATHING VALVE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: breathing valve is designed for sealing of gas space of reservoirs filled with petroleum and petroleum products and for adjustment of pressure and vacuum within preset limits. Breathing valve for reservoirs with petroleum products and chemical liquids has body, working chamber and gate coupled to membrane by means of connecting element. Valve is provided with auxiliary pressure gate coupled to membrane and with vacuum gates disconnected from membrane. Plates of pressure and vacuum gates are mounted on levers fitted with magnetic locks designed to provide for required load on plate along with rising intravalve pressure. Gates have auxiliary holes positioned opposite to cut-off part along gate perimeter. Flexible cut-off parts are shaped as an arc contacting gate seals. Flexible cut-off parts are capable of taking the form of their mirror position at the same time being in contact with gate seats. Breathing valve body is provided with holes for installation of preliminarily adjusted pressure and vacuum modules. The latter are fitted with lever devices for changing the force required for gate operation. Pressure cut-off holes are directed similarly inside gas space of reservoirs. Pressure plates are positioned identically from side of internal gas space of reservoir. The invention provides for pulsed operation of valve gates and for reduction of petroleum product losses in process of storage due to improved sealing of gates. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
