FIELD: producing silver-free copies of original relief-phase holograms recorded on various media. SUBSTANCE: method involves shaping replica from original hologram and copying hologram from replica. Replica is formed by coating original hologram with thixotropic potting compound, holding it at room temperature till it completely cures, and separating replica from original hologram. Copy is obtained by applying thermoplastic medium with aid of hot roller while pressing the latter to replica and holding it in such state until temperature lower than curing point of thermoplastic media is attained, whereupon copy is separated from replica; then copy microrelief is aluminized and covered with protective layer. EFFECT: enhanced number of copies obtained from single original hologram made on any material.
