FIELD: grinding machine tools with number program control and grinding processes realized by means of tools with working surface with bonded cutting grains and apexes protruded from binder by the same height. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of introducing to system program value of elasticity strength, predetermined size of ready article, predetermined height of microrelief, designed parameters of rate of taking off allowance; at grinding process discretely realizing multiple reverse lengthwise motions with stroke equal to predetermined height of microrelief on ground surface of ready article; continuously measuring values of static and dynamic components of cutting efforts in contact point of ground surface with apex of each cutting grain; continuously determining values of static and dynamic components of elastic deformation of grinding system; detecting time moment of occurring periodic uniform value of dynamic component of cutting effort corresponding to time moment of setting controlled grinding mode in grinding system of machine tool; continuously performing correction at least of one parameter of rate of taking off allowance in such a way that at each contact point value of dynamic component of elastic deformation is no more than predetermined height of microrelief and summed values of static and dynamic components of elastic deformation is no more than compression elasticity strength of system. Apparatus for performing the method includes monitoring system having electric circuit with connected in series piezoelectric pickup for measuring effort, calibrating voltage amplifier and analog-to-digital converter whose outlet is connected with respective inlet of computerized number program control unit having multichannel linear microinterpolator. Outlets of said interpolator are connected with respective control inlets of drive units for moving table with attachment for securing ground articles along coordinate axes X,Y,Z of machine tool. Attachment for securing ground articles has drive unit for rotating articles and it includes two hollow screws mounted in parallel and diametrically opposite relative to toothed rim at least of one spindle with possibility for their interrelated rotation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and accuracy of method. 32 cl, 18 dwg
