RETICULAR DOME Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: building structures such as those used for covering ring- or rectangular-shaped buildings. SUBSTANCE: dome has top and bottom supporting rings integrated by meridian ribs made in the form of trussed beams with hollow combined posts and flexible ties. Flexible ropes provided with ring guides on top ends are installed in hollow posts and kept within their length. Flexible ties are reeved through posts and are passed through holes in upper supporting ring; they are provided with thimbles passing hinge member with tensioning device; safety washers are installed on flexible ties inside upper supporting ring. EFFECT: reduced material input due to uniform initial strain-and stress state of dome trussed beams. 4 dwg
