FIELD: latching equipment. SUBSTANCE: latching device which is automatically locked when door is closed, has blocking lock, movable members interconnected through pins and adapted for automatic resetting to initial position. One of movable members may be latched and it has part which may be latched in blocking lock. This part is provided with elongate opening and U-shaped or T-shaped end. Latchable member is movable relative to blocking lock when it is latched in it. In the process of latching, immobility of lockable member is provided by automatic retainer or by lever, with displacement of lever arm in desired direction being restricted. Connection between movable members is based on the principle of operation of collapsible antenna or one of movable members is provided with closed through longitudinal recess and it is joined to member on which pin extending through this recess is fastened. Movable member is reset to the initial position by toothed wheel engageable with toothed rack and torsional leaf spring. Latching in blocking lock is effected by extensible member which closes recess accommodating latchable member or which is inserted into opening of lockable member. Latching is also provided by wheel-shaped member which is positioned in blocking lock and provided with slot and teeth engageable with retention member. Door is retained in closed position by holding latchable member immovable by means of part connected to latching mechanism having keyhole outside the door. When door is opened and movable members are in initial inoperative position, only latchable part of latchable member extends beyond door end. Latching device fixed inward of room is fastened by protected fastening members and may be used for closing door from inside as well as upon leaving the room.
