FIELD: chemical and petrochemical industries. SUBSTANCE: pump-ejector unit operating process includes conveying of liquid working medium from separator to pump, delivery of working medium under pressure by means of pump to nozzle of jet apparatus, pumping-out of gaseous medium, and supply of gas-liquid mixture to jet converter; in the process, up to 15% of working liquid is delivered under pressure to jet converter wherein flow is swirled due to its tangential inlet to form vacuum area thereby ensuring augmented acceleration and stirring of steam-liquid mixture; steam phase concentrates and great amount of heat is liberated at converter outlet for gas-liquid flow. Pump-ejector unit has jet-type flow converter made in the form of cylinder provided with tangential channels and liquid working medium inlet pipe communicating with pump outlet.
