FIELD: combustion of solid fuels. SUBSTANCE: furnace may be used for combustion of low-grade fuels in ovens and boilers. It has inclined fire grate coupled to fuel bunker and burn-up section coupled to ash-removal system. Fire grate and burn-up section are positioned in succession in furnace space of boiler. Burn-up section is installed directly under inclined fire grate with a layer of fuel. In this case, hot flue gases from burn-up section are filtered into furnace space located above through inclined fire grate. They dry, heat and ignite a layer of raw fuel from bottom. Burn-up section may be coupled to furnace space by means of gas by-pass channels terminating in nozzles directed to inclined fire grate from top or fuel jets may be spread on fire grate. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
